Photographer's Note
We found this male lion in South Luangwa park in Zambia. He had just woken up, the sun was setting and he was preparing for his nightly predations. Two other lions in his pride were about a mile away near the Luangwa river and he was looking towards their direction smelling the air for them, presumably to join up with them.
