Photographer's Note

This was taken at sunrise near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southern Uganda.

In such a serene and peaceful place, I couldn't help but feel that I was looking through the reeds and into the past.

Image poétique aux douces couleurs bleutées. On a une grande impression d'aventure (la pirogue, le costume du personnage), d'être un observateur discret caché dans les roseaux: très efficace!

Hi again Shannon,
When I saw the thumbnail for this photo, I thought at first that it wasn't going to be so great. I'm glad I opened it to take a look because I was VERY pleasantly surprised. This is really great photography. You've captured the serene beauty of this scene superbly.
