Hi I`m back again after a long break. This time i would like to post a shot from an ordinary street in Kampala. It is very interesting to walk in areas like this, curious kids, very lively environments , and an excellent glimpse of Daily Life.
I really hope i get the opportunity to see more of this exciting continent, Africa has almost Everything in my opinion.

A colourful and lively street scene!
Motorbikes are apparently the way to get around in Kampala.
Remarkable red colour of the earthen street.
The picture also shows the big difference between the houses in this street and the higher (newer) blocks at the upper left.
Best regards, Paul

Excellent picture of the daily life of that place!
Level of sharpness, exposure, colors, large vertical format, chosen pov and composition truly pleased me!
TFS - congrats,

great to see you posting some new photos!
and what a shot here, we don't get to see many scenes from Uganda! Especially here in Canada.
this is one of those shots where we can easily learn so much just from scanning all areas.
and thats exactly what i'm doing, looking at everything very closely.
great shot for TE!

Great to see you posting again. This street scene is lovely with the vibrancy of everyday Africa against the more modern buildings in the distance. The detail in the picture is really interesting with so much going on. A super shot.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hello Boa ,
What an interesting scene ! Difficult to think that this is the capital ! But we can see more modern buildings in the BG . Africa seems to be full of life , colors ... but poverty , too .
Thanks for the share .

It's nice to see you back again. :-) I always enjoy seeing photos of daily life in Africa; there are so many colors and so much activity. In this photo, I like the way we see this small street and all of the people on it, while also getting a glimpse of the taller buildings in the distance. The reddish-brown roads look nice when it's dry, but I can imagine how muddy it must be after some rain!

good reportage about the daily life in Uganda. A bit sadly view, poor and hard life is there. Perhaps peoples are happy. Good POV and perspective of street.
Have a nice day.

Really an interesting daily life scene, and the color of the dirt road makes the image very attractive! A picture full of details to see! Excellent composition!
ChrisJ (94316) 2013-10-12 3:30
It looks to be a very poor and impoverished country. Good use of the rough dirt road as a lead in line which also adds good linear perspective. The people animate the scene and provide scale and context. A stark contrast with the modern modern upscale buildings on the horizon. Excellent color saturation and sharpness. The diffused light works well here. Tfs!

very interesting photo of every day scene in Kampala. There are plenty of details to discover and one can explore them again and again. I love the reality caught in here and very natural colors as well as multilayered plan.
Thanks for sharing

It's so sad that even in the 21st century there's still a lot of poor people struggling. Good documentation of the daily life of people, sad but beautiful street scene. Good lighting and sharp details. Well done, tfs.
I hope you didn't lose a lot of money in Vegas.

Good morning Boa,
We don't get many photos out of this region onour planet, a nice contribution to the TE site.
An unpaved road and a bit chaotic to western eyes, but well collected pic. down the street, and fine clarity with DOF.
My best regards,
fanni (14377) 2014-01-07 16:50
this is the kind of photos which are always exceptionally interesting for me!
First of all, because you capture the local atmosphere; second, you create an excellent composition in which we see loads of details each of which can tell us a story. I think this is the type of photos which should be accompanied by a detailed long story of the traveller :)
I'd love to see more of such photos of yours here... or maybe on FB!
PS. you are right: Africa has (and shows) almost everything... but not for "just anyone"!
tenretin (2199) 2014-03-01 1:36
I do not know if I'll have ventured into this kind of street? ... In any case I'll be gone next to the reality of this city (of reality).
It is seen and well done.
