Photographer’s Note
Lake Bunyonyi lies in the high valley of South West Uganda. Is it approx. 19km and has over 30 islands in it's waters. It also is incredibly deep - over 900m in places.
This is a fresh water lake, with a few fish, otters and other wildlife. It remains relatively unspoilt - apart from the dugout canoes used by the locals there are only one or two powered boats that make the trip between the shore and one or two of the islands.
If you want a place to chill out and escape everybody, including backpackers and active nightlife, this is the place.
The area is often called 'The Switzerland of Africa'. That seems unnecessary Lake Bunyonyi is beautiful enough to not need comparisons.
This photo was sticthed from two. To the right, behind the clouds, are the massive cone shaped volcanoes of the Congo. To be honest this place is breathtaking - very seldom do I say that or quiver when holding a camera. I knew straight away I could not do justice to the view. This is a pale imitation. Go and see it before it becomes comercialised.

I am surprised this picture has not received any comments? It's pretty nice view with interesting note. Pity there are (almost) no details in the shadows and the horizon's line is placed in the frame's middle. Try to move horizon a little up. Most of this blue sky is rather useless, these green hills are more interesting. Greetings. Sory about my poor english ;)
