[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I made this picture being in Nortern Uganda for a Dutch child-based NGO. The area Gulu - Kitgum - Lira was at that time frequently attacked by the LRA.

The girl hasn't known anything else than camps and violence. She did what she had to do and took care of her little sister, who she has on her back. A little girl who already outgrew childhood years ago. Sad, but daily reality in Northern Uganda.
