Taken mid morning in the south west of Tunisia ( can anyone tell me the insects name) it was very photogenic giving me plenty of time to get some close ups

Nice picture ken, very clear and good texture to the wings. Don't know what it is though.

It is a Dragonfly (see the two pairs of wings?) and you can see them in the uk by lakes and swampy ground (Not usually moorland tho').
Good capture, you must have zoomed in close - what length lens?

This is an amazing shot. Great composition, excellent sharpness, and very good use of DOF.
