[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Ribat ( meaning garrison, the place ) was a part of the fortification system built in 8th century on north Africa cost from Morroco to Egypt as a protection from Byzanthine. Ribat in Monastir is one of the oldest ones in Tunisia and dates back to 797 by government Hirthima. In 10th century the religious function of Ribat became more important than the military one.

Hi AM,

It's the dynamic duo again with a wonderful shot! Very ncie colours you have captured here, the 3 seconds doing wonders. Getting to the end of the blue hour I see. Great sharpness! But I'm wondering about the noise to the right in the sky?! Working from a tripod and getting noise? High Iso's? Noise on a Canon?? ;-). Nice shot!!

Greetings,
Dennis

Cześć!
No, to jest bardzo fajne. Ładne nocne kolory, ciekawa kompozycja. Sam obiekt też bardzo ciekawy. Taka typowa arabska architektura.

Hi,
I though I knew reasonably enough this castle (I think that this is another possible translation for ribat), but I was wrong, because I thought it was much more recent. The colours are wonderful. It was really worth having brought a tripod for such distant destination. At first I thought that the POV could be more imaginative, but a more attentive look made change my mind - somehow that shadow on the left and the darker sky on the right makes the image very appealing. Nevertheless, maybe a lower pov would result even better - not that I follow that rule so often, but it is said that it should be avoided putting the horizon on the middle.
Regards, José.
