Hi Wanda,
nice and wide view. Has the impression of a desert. I like the sky reflection in the salty water and the horizon line which is mixing sky and land and water.

Great light here Wanda, and it's the quality of light that is key to the success of this shot.
The pools of water make some interesting shapes in the foreground, and I like the overall simplicity and tranquility of the image.

Sorry, I was down with a bad tooth problem which really isnt over yet. You have done so well in this one Wanda, the painting like surreal effect is so nicely captured here in fading lights. the muted pastel colours look so divine. I like this image...there's nothing in it ...yet there's everything in it. It is my favourite indeed.

Hi Wanda,
It's a very moody image, a real beauty. I don't care if it gives the wrong idea that it is a lagoon next to the sea; actually that's part of the exotic charm of the place. You are right about the light, it is magical and wonderful.
When I saw the title, before I read the note, I thought it was Chott-el-Jerid (North of Douz). I didn't know that there were salt lakes South of Douz, so I have to thank you for letting me know a bit more of Geography.

Beautiful salty flatlands, those boats won't be going anywhere soon. The light gives a kind of moody but nice atmosphere. Well done.

I was curious if I could get away some of the noice here using Neat image in this beautiful photo. You can see the result in the workshop.
