Photographer's Note

Mahdia is an old city of which the roots extend along the History. Many traces revealed by the excavations and the studies, maritime or terrestrial, testify to the passage of the phenicians, punic and the Romans in the City and its neighbourhoods. The historical district of Mahdia is located on a peninsula but the city extended well beyond this one. Mahdia has the charm of a small still authentic town of fishermen, where remains a craft industry of silk. First fishing port of the country, the destination attracts the tourists more and more.
