Windows of Sidi Bou Said Photo

Photographer’s Note

This are typical windows from Sidi Bou Said.This small town is today one of the best examples of the traditional architecture of Tunisia.This was possible thanks to the English Baron of Erlanger, who came to this place in the beginning of the 20th century and took charge of the revalorization of the buildings, of the traditional architecture and, of course, of the usage of the blue and white colours.
Unfortunately, when I go there, I never have much time to visit the city. Hope to go there one of these days and spend a whole day discovering all the little streets, so full of details.

This is an interesting POV of some very unusual windows. The colours are superb. The photo is lovely and sharp which helps with viewing the glorious detail on the windows. It is really nice that the sky is a slightly deeper blue. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

Wow what incredible windows. The blue and white is a good bright and pleasing combination perhaps chosen as it is a cool combination in a place where temps might be high well it is an extremely aesthetic combination for sure.
You have captured the intricacies well here and the angle with the deep blue sky in the background adds to the beauty of the picture.
