Photographer’s Note
Mahdia, about midway down the east coast of Tunisia, has had a fascinating history, with the Carthaginians, Romans, Berbers, Normans, Arabs, Turks and French all having left a mark.
So there I was, lying on the beach admiring the amazing colour of the water, when I realised that the 'residents' of the umbrella in front of my own had left their snorkelling gear to dry.
Taken with a Konica-Minolta Dimage Z20, no filter except the standard UV; image cropped and contrast and saturation altered slightly (to bring the image more in line with reality, ironically...).
