Photographer’s Note

The sun rises above the Tunisian Sahara for the first time in 2005. The camels don't seem to care too much...
The night before was easily the coldest night of my life, even with a woolen top, jacket, blanket and a Japanese girl hugging me... Would do it again though!
We came here on a camel ride from Douz -- the gate of the Sahara --, a charming small town on the southern edge of Chott El-Jerid, not far from Tozeur.

This is very impresive sunrise photo.
You managed to get exposure correctly to have everything in the ground completelly black, but several different colors of the sky in the same photo - it is changing from white, to yellow than to orrange and some blue further away from the sun.
Just not sure if there is a need to include that much ground. I would have croped just below the camels.

davvero bella la tua foto: mi sorprende che sia stata poco notata...nonostante un tramonto con una bella gradazione di colori ed una composizione particolare.

Fantastic shot of the sunset with the silhouettes of the camels.
This is one of the most unusual and beautiful sunset I´ve seen on Trek.

Great capture in adverse weather condition. I know how it feels to get up early in the morning and take photographs in the winter chill. Very nice silhoutted camels of the Sahara. Naughty note too. Keep it up.
