Photographer’s Note

This is the same medina wall as in my two other posts from Sfax. The others were taken across the street from this one by the gate.

This is what happens when you try to take a picture fast so your friends won't have to wait: you get a post box right in front of a person. Although timing and composition are far from perfect I still wanted to share this picture since it reminds me a lot of the relaxed night life of Tunisian cities (this is around 6pm); people walking across the street in the middle of traffic, standing everywhere talking to their friends. You can tell that the traffic flows pretty slowly as the motorcycle is the only vehicle that's blurred.

The sky was really bright in this picture so I darkened it a little with tone curves. Does it look artificial? I added quite a lot of contrast as well, I think street shots like this one really benefit from rich contrast.
