Photographer’s Note
Taken at a market square in Kairouan. The advantage of a 200mm lens (effectively 320mm) in this setting is that it allows you to stand further away and observe the people from a distance as they do their daily shopping, resulting in more spontaneous and natural photos. This little girl spotted the camera a fraction of a second before the photo was taken.
Auto level correction and sharpened via USM in PSE3.

Interesting picture. But too bad the shadows on the face are too pronouced. One of the two eyes are in the dark. We cant really see it. A white cardboard on the left side to make some reflection on the face could have given a softer lighting and more balanced. or alternatively a fill in flash could have helped.
