Photographer's Note
We see alot of photos of different Medina's all around the world, especially of African countries.
We see the narrow covered walkways, filled and teaming with people. Locals and tourists fighting for their piece of the walkways, and cash being handed out as bartering and deals are being made for items sold by vendors.
I wanted to show the Medina aswell, but from a different vantage point. From Above!
This is a rooftop view of the Tunis Medina in Tunisia.
Its well over 2000 years old, hence the poor architectural conditions.
Way in the background, you can see some of the tall towers, and hotels in the downtown new city centre.
Hope you enjoy this view
Cheers

Hi Craig,
I remember standing on the same spot quite some time ago. This is a great shot, the tower is superb and I really like the soft 'sandy' colours. Thanks for sharing.

Ciao Craig,

Hello Craig, Splendid scene of this Medina. I have always favored showing the rooftops and spires or domes of the buildings. You have captured this extremely well. The clouds are also your friend, in that they add an element to this shot. I have never been in Africa, and I envy you having visited there. I have been trying to find a cruise that will take us to some of the ports in North Africa. Regards, Roger

Hi Craig
Lots of shapes and angles that provide visual elements to look at. Nicely exposed and you gotta love the mixture of old architecture and satellite dishes.

Hi Craig,
I see you moved to another continent. :)
Excelent POV, great composition. Yo make smart balance with huge old tower on the left, with litle new on the right. Great vivid colors and extremely good sharpness. I like it. Bravo

Hi Craig
Oooh, now this is really different - and Tunisia is so under-represented here on TE, so I thank you for that. Incredible that something 2,000 years old is still standing (unlike some of the buildings here that are less than 30 years old! The sharpness is excellent and I love the warm light and of course the high Point of View. Great job, really enjoyable to critique,
Cheers

A nice view on the minaret on the left, and on the falt roofs. Of course, progress has come with the TV antenna dishes, but the old traditional style has survived. And a nice sky to top that.
All the best,

Hi Craig,
very big change from Vancouver or Las Vegas!
I like very much this exotic architecture. The tower itself is so unique. But it also has amazing surrounding.
Very well captured, I like the details of this house, you can really feel the atmosphere of this place.
Very well done,

Hi Craig
Tunisia, I visited once, but I was not really impressed, because I lived at that time in Morocco. Everything is so different in Tunisia compared to Morocco. However your shot of the Medina is very convincing, I like the "sea" of houses and the tall minaret at left. Good DOF, vibrant color hues, excellent contrasts and high sharpness. Well done.
Thanks for your critique of my Kek Lok Si shot from Penang.
Eastern Greetings

Hi Craig,
this time, something more exotic.
Is this the Medina to which Mohammed fled?
I think so.
Arabic style and the atrium in hot climates.
I thought that this cities are white and pastel colors here on your photography.
Skyscrapers on the horizon.
Sometimes modernity kills.
Cheers Tomas
