I guess this is one of the most photographed places in Tunisia. It's the famous Café des Nattes, in Sidi Bou Said.
Sidi Bou Said is a small town, situated near Tunis, which is very famous for its architecture and blue and white colours. In the 20th century it was a very popular residence of famous artists who used to come here. Today, if we take some free time to discover the little streets, we'll have the chance to find many art galleries. The place is still quite connected to culture and arts.Seems this café used to be very popular (and it is still today) by the artists. Lots of famous national and foreigner artists have been here. The decoration inside is very traditional, with cushions where you can sit and have a "thé à la menthe".
I don't know how I had the chance to take this photo without a hundred tourists in front. This place is one of the most visited and there are always too many people in front. But the moment I took the photo there was only one national who was calmly reading the newspaper in the shade.

Then, you were lucky! the place was just waiting for you to take the phpto!
First time that I see this Cafe. Seems lovely. I like the with and the blue, goes perfectly fine with the blue sky. The man gives a calming mood to the photo, it doesn´t seem like a crowded place!
So, well seen. I also like the frontal POV that you gave to the photo.

Hi Ana, like this photo. It's a good capture of the very distinctive Tunisian architecture, and the man relaxing with his newspaper adds a nice human touch. I don't much care for the souvenir stall left front though, and I think the photo would be even better if you could crop that. Otherwise, it's a very pleasing image!

Linda fotografia, Anabela.
Excelente ângulo de tomada assim como também excelente o tratamento das cores. Interessante a banca de artesanato que se vê do lado esquerdo.

The quality of the capture is very great. Light is miraculous and it has helped a lot in bringing out the mediterranean blue and white varnish...

I am having a look at your superb photographs.
What I have seen so far is wonderful. And your notes
are very interesting. I only know Djerba in Tunisia.
When I see your photographs I feel like going to Sidi Bou Said for a change.
Anyway this one is wonderful. The colours are well saturated and there are plenty of details in the whites. The composition is very good and the sharpness is amazing.

Hi Ana, of course I went here when I was in Sidi Bou Said, but I could've never hoped to get a shot like this. So clean, nobody around except the perfectly placed man under the tree, the blue of the sky matches the trim so well...
