Photographer’s Note

Sidi Bou Said (سيدي بو سعيد) is a picturesque village in Tunisia located 20 km north-east of Tunis. Perched on a cliff overlooking Carthage and the Gulf of Tunis, it bears the name of a saint: Abu Said.

The houses of Sidi Bou Said combining Arabic and Andalusian architecture are bright white and blue doors, are scattered at random to narrow, winding streets.
Top tourist town in the colors of the Mediterranean Sea, listed since 1915, the site is nicknamed the "little white and blue paradise".

Sidi Bou Said is also famous for its cafés whose terraces are places of relaxation popular with Tunis:

Coffee mats that housed the malouf evenings organized by music lovers of the village;
Café de Sidi Chabaane saw the day in the late 1960s, offering a view over the Gulf of Tunis. This is the Café Delights of the song that bears the same name. Coffee, without actually changing the name, still refers to "Café Delights" in its entry for the story, the Café Delight, which refers Patrick Bruel in his namesake song.
