Photographer’s Note

Next to the famous El Jem Colosseum there are a lot of street vendors, you can buy all kind of souvenirs, but what caught my attention were these doors as I was fascinated by them from the moment I arrived to Tunisia. These were very old it seems, and not very well preserved, but still very charming and beautiful! I didn't see no one around them to ask for the price so you can bid to win :) How many dinars you give? Come on, do I hear a bid? :D

Tunis, since long ago, has been famous for its beautiful doors. While the houses might be simple, wealth was expressed through the workmanship of these wooden elements. The dominating colors for doors are blue and beige. Traditional design is double doors, with intricate patterns upon them, often including symbology for good luck

Have a nice WE!
