Aghlabid basins is a huge 5m-deep pool with 64 sides. Built to provide the city with water, this 55m3 basin was supplied by a 36km aqueduct which carried water down from the mountains. Once home to 250 000 inhabitants (the population today is 140 000), the city originally had 14 of these reservoirs. These basins were always accompanied by a smaller pool, which was used for sedimentation. A second complex of basins, about 50m to the northeast of the tourist office, has just been restored. These scene is so calm, it almost eerie! A place so important to the survival of the city, and yet it also looks beautiful too. It is not often we see such a well combined expression of form and function!
Thanks as always

Interesante nota, que nos introduce a la comprension de la importancia de este gran estanque de agua, una buena composicion, con magnifico DOF, con la linea de arboles.
Que tengas un buen dia.

Excellent view across basin's quiet water. You are lucky to captured the water during windless time, so you have been able to capture fabulous reflections. I like it.
Well done my friend.
