The edge of sea in Lome with the fishing vessels – this photograph does not represent a very good memory because it was taken at the time where French were driven out of Ivory Coast.

Le bord de mer à Lome avec les bateaux de pêche - cette photo ne correspond pas pour moi à un bon souvenir car elle a été prise à l'époque où les François ont été évacués de Côte d'Ivoire

triste souvenir en effet ... mais cette photo sonne un peu comme un appel à l'évasion, à la liberté. C'est comme ça, dès que je vois la mer, j'ai ce genre de pensées...
Joli POV, bonne DOF, cadrage agréable, belles couleurs. Beau travail.

very nice post. i like the POV. the long boats are made half of palm tree shells, i suppose. this is common in coastal India (i guess in most parts of the tropical world).

I like the angle chosen here, Gaby, it makes a very long view on the beach. Also the colours and textures of the boat, nice seen, nice shot !

La compo est excellente pour ce paysage et le bateau de prmier plan très réussi.
En 80 j'ai tiré le filet avec les gens d'un village de cette magnifique côte, sympa. C'était plus vers le Bénin mais au Togo, a un endroit spectaculaire ou la mer gagne sans arrêt sur les dunes...

J'aime bien vos photos d'Afrique, claires et vivantes, on s'y croirait. Quand j'étais au Malawi je n'avais pas de "numérique" donc les photos de moins bonne qualité.

Good use of extreme wide angle and tight crop for this subject. All good DoF catch the contextual detail in the background. Maybe I'd hae cropped even tigher on the, still, nice work.
