Photographer's Note
In this little village on a remote dirtroad in the mountains of the plateau region in west Togo we were quite an attraction as passengers.
I could make this picture and after that the whole village came together to watch. I will post the group photo after this one.

Hello Gerrit ,
Really , really interesting ! Sometimes , i ask myself is life is still the same in Africa as we can see in our child books . I suppose that it is very different in big cities . But as much as I can see here , no many things have changed in little villages .
Thanks for the share .

Hello Gerrit,
African villages usually mean poverty and bad sanitation, but there is also a lot of joy and human warmth that I have found fascinating. You have captured a peaceful moment which gives me good memories. The traditional huts are nicely framed by the two "modern" buildings and my eyes are led along a pleasant line from one kid to another, up to the two busy women.
Regards,
Gert

A very interesting image, well composed too. The colours are typically African, the soil and the huts of the same hue and make a fine contrast with the green banana trees in the bg. But the most interesting feature is the presence of the people in their daily activities.
Well done,

Hello Gerrit,
An interesting portrait of village life with these inquisitive children playing in the dust and the two women chatting in the background. One can imagine life has gone on here like this for centuries. Good saturated colours and excellent sharpness. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Gerrit!
That's a very interesting and beautiful photograph!
Sharpness, exposure, pov, dof, colors, giant format and composition are all excellent!
Like someone else's already said, the african continent hasn't change much, specially if we compare it to the other ones in our World! You captured lots of elements that prove that and you did it so nicely!
Yes, all the problems that poverty can arise are there, but their innocence and happiness is also astonishing!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan

Hi Gerrit,
Fantastic daily shot, I feel like being with you walking through this dusty village. You managed well with the light, the yellow brown and earth tone can be a challenge when trying to include peopoole, they tend to blend it, but the contrast help bring out the people. Lovely carious childdren. Very rare image from a remote place indeed, and thanks for sharing.

Hello Gerrit ,
This is very much in the style of street photography, I lov ethe scene, it is rare we see scenes form Togo, and I am fascinated.
All the figures add something to the shot, the sense of daily living in such a place foreign to me is intruiging.
