This is a pretty old photo...

today I was reading somewhere thay the kilimanjaro ice cup lost some huge percentage of its mass after the measure from the 60's. No matter if it's going to desappear in 2050 or 2035, the point is that is going to melt.

I wonder if any of the fellow friends, net surfers, has a more recent one, just to compare.

It´s always nice to find someone with whom you share the experience of climb the highest peak in África. I was there almost a year ago, and your photo, although with a slight lack of sharpening, portrait quite well what it is Kilimanjaro.

A good photo dispite the lack of sharpness.
I trekked to the top of Kilimanjaro almost 2 years to the day after you. I am posting to a workshop the 2 photos I took of the glacier. I am not sure where I was standing in relation to where you stood but there does seem to be less ice. Marlene
