I like the composition here with the well placed silhouettes against that beautiful backdrop. The rippling waters of the ocean are a nice addition and help enhance the mood. Beautiful sunset tones. What better scene to contemplate on the last night of a holiday. Well done!

Hi dear Kath,
Wonderfull scene, masterly captured. I do not like generally sunsets (as they remind me on another passed day from our lifes) but this is something very special. The leafs of the palmtree creates a nice grapical effect.

Hello Kath,
Classic, but when it's taken the right way always a pleasure for the eyes. Including here a strong diagonal line with a natural border with those leaves on each side and strong horizontal line on the ocean it makes this a real good one. The light in the sky is evry nice, but what i like more is the glow in the water...very beautiful.

Kath, it seems that this is a nice wya that you get to be your own by closing a travelogue with a nice sunset image of the place that you visited. It gives the impression that the sun is fading and leaving the colors as an everlasting impression of this visit. The little boat at the horizon with the so typical sail shape gives the reference of where you were when taking this shot - Zanzibar. That sounds so special!

Hello Kath,

What a fabulous farewell shot!
The angled view makes a nice f/g diagonal with the fence whilst the palm leaves make good natural frames to the sides.
That tiny boat makes an interesting focal point to draw the eyes across the water towards the warmth of the setting sun. What a wonderful atmosphere is created here!

I don't remember having seen any sunset view of yours. It's gorgeous! I wonder why I feel a certain melancholic mood in it. I guess it's because it represents your farewell to a beautiful land. Fabulous colours, very nice silhouettes that make it very interesting graphically. And that sail on the horizon.......
The WS complements the farewell. It's a beautiful blue hour, the hotel looks lovely.

Beautiful sunset, Kath! (have you seen any ugly one?) I love sunsets and sunrises but, yes, I agree that it is easyer to capture the sunsets, maybe a little bit before the happy hour ;-D
The colour tones are very nice and its good to see some silhouettes included to the foreground.

Hi Kath,
Beautiful brown toned sunset where palm leaves and the fence provide excellent framing. I've seen a couple of African sunsets, a pity you didn't have opportunity for those on safari. I too remember in Etosha national park rules were strict, you had to be in the camp before sunset.

A beautiful sunset and and excellent composition with the wooden fence and the palm leaves in silhouette. I particular I like the sailing boat far way. Somehow the WS is a nice way to finish the pictures of your travel, but I think we will see more pictures of your travelogue... at least I would like to see more pictures.

Hi, Kath. A sunset in itself is not always interesting, but the way you've composed this one explains its success. Of cours, the colours in the sky are gorgeous. The reflections are very nice. But I think the main asset here is the compositin. The branches and the fence in the foreground create a very good depth and the boat on the horizon emphasizes this sense of depth. A very good picture to end your African series.
