Up close and personal: a giraffe in the Serengetti Plains, Tanzania.
I was finally satisfied when our 4WD car got this close to the animal without it moving away, so I could capture it's interesting face in a portrait. The horns are not used anymore on these animals, and the mouth structure reminded me a bit of a camel's. |

David,
Very nice close up of the giraffe. I like the tongue in cheek moment or maybe just stuff with food. They are very graceful for being so tall and big. It's amazing to watched them feed on tree with so much thorns. Good one. Thanks.

Hi David,
Gorgeous close-up! Love this shot. Fantastic clarity and sharpness you got.
Well done,
Shaeri
Hi David
I love this closeup of the giraffe's head. Excellent detail in the capture with the flies close to his face and eyes against the clear blue sky. He has a sad and disdainful look which is reminiscent of the face of a camel.
