Cheetah with it´s baby crossing the street.
At the moment I saw in Tanzania I couldn´t belive it because I have never seen a scene like that.
Actually we wanted to leave the serengeti np but on our way to the lake manyara we saw this cheetah having it´s meal.
Sometimes it mad strange noises but I didn´t get why it´s doing that. Our guide then told us that it´s maybe crying for it´s baby, what´s hidden anywhere during the hunt. And so was it after 20 minutes I think it left its place and looked for its 3 weeks old baby.(It also crossed the stree behind our car very close without baby.(I will upload the picture soon)
Hope you like it
best regards Toba

Hello Tobias,

You were lucky to catch such show. I would have like to have been there also.
Very interesting photo,

Yves.

Hi, tobias. This is not en everyday picture. Seeing a cheetah is something rare and seeig it with its cub must be something exceptional. Here you could catch both of them and I like the to see the small one running after his mother. You chose a good angle which creates some kind of diagonal in the picture. The colours are good and the moment to shhot was well chosen.

Hello Tobias
Nice scene showing the baby following its mom. I like the point of view showing a half with green herbs and the other half the brown road. Well done!
Best regards
Denis!

The baby is really small. Seeing wildlife so up-close must be a very exciting experience.

Fantastic scene.Nice colors and clarity.

Hello Tobias,
This is a great situation!
The little one following trustfully in mama's footsteps across the road is a touching moment...

Toba,
Wow, I love it. I saw a few cheetahs when I was there but not a baby. This is a great moment you captured. Wonderful, technically, the image is not as sharp as it can be, but not bad. You probably have to crop some to get it to this size. I can imagine if you have all the right equipments and fancy cameras, what a great photographer you will be. Keep up the good work my friend. Most importantly, you have fun with it and thanks for sharing with us.

Bonsoir, Tobias,
Félicitations pour la réactivité de cette très bonne prise de vue. Il fallait faire vite, cadrer, appuyer sur le déclencheur et espérer que la photo soit bonne. Pas de problème, la photo est très bonne !
Image assez rare !
Very well done.
Amitiés.
Philippe

Hallo Tobias,
So nice to get it from the nature rather than in a zoo, nice wilderness image and it seems the baby is hesitating to follow its mother !
Have a nice week end JY

You were so lucky to see this. Cheetahs are my favourite big cat and we only saw one with her babies from a long way off. Here is my husband's shot. Unfortunately I didn't gave a long enough lens on at the time. She had 4 cubs which is unusual. On that photo they were out of sight, but we watched through binoculars for ages until the cheetah looked worried so we left.
If this is the full frame you had then I can see it was the best you could do compositionally, as of course you wanted to include the cub. If you have cropped from a bigger image then it would have been better to have left more space in front of the mother "for her to walk into". Neverthless you have a wonderful record of a wonderful moment.

Hello Toba,
A nice capture of this mother and baby. A good point of view that adds dynamism to the composition. Well spotted and executed.

hi Tobias

Good capture of this spotted cheetah and cub, nicely composed. Nice work.

TFS, bill

Tobias,
what a nice moment to capture this unique vision of tender mother love and guidance. Three weeks old, huh? What a particularly great luck to get to see it and photograph it. It seems to me that you got so excited that the image is slightly off focus. Where you using the high end of your zoom? But than the 1/500s would should still have been fast enough to focus that well.
Peter

Hi Toba!
Amazing take. Original lightness. Nice natural colors. Good capture.
Greetings from Poland!

Hey Toba,
Gratulation!

Hello Tobias
The moment of capture, so very important, is excellently done here. The timing is excellent. Love the cub bringing up the rear of the mother...I acknowledge not having seen many pics. of Cheetah cubs. A fine picture, including the use of the shallow DOF. Well done indeed!

Hi Tobias,

How I could forget this photograph !!! This small cheetah follows his mother of very near and however seems to hesitate to cross the road. A situation well photographed with a good timing. Certainly a strong moment for you. Thank you Tobias.

With all my friendships and a very good WE,

Hi Tobias.

Nice subject and photo.
The photo is itself a nice story with the cheetah and its "baby".

And also it is a good photo.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

Hi Toba,
my almost seven years old son just have seen this photo and he liked it very much! He watches documentaries with wildlife and at this moment, too. I asked for him to see your post and he wanted to see more especially with lions. You may understand his interesting! I have to say that this image is very good, using full zoom and 1/500 shutter speed, you managed to freeze the scene. The baby is so lovely, too.
Thank you very much for sharing.
Warm regards,
Athanasios.
