This was the only day of our trip to Tanzania that the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro was visible. This view is from the edge of Arusha NP near the Hatari lodge about an hour before sunset.

Wow, this is the Africa most want to see: the animals, the snows of Kili, and the essential acacias, all under a warm light. May is supposed to the wet season isn't it? I see this was the only clear day.
