Kilimanjaro Sunrise
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This shot was taken on the Marangu route up Kilimanjaro at the Horombo encampment (3700m). The previous day on our hike up we had passed through a few clouds, and finally when we arrived at our camp we were stuck with the beauty of clouds above us, and clouds considerably lower above the plains.
Unfortunately after having taken this shot, I realized there was dust on my sensor! On of the guys we were with had one of those dust removal brushes which I borrowed shortly afterwards. I can honestly say that so far after having used that brush every so often, more often than not it just moves the dust around to another spot on your sensor. I used Photoshop 7.0 with the clone stamp tool to correct the tiny black spots which would have been at the top right hand corner of the image.
Every day we were blessed with beautiful sunrises and sunsets, however perhaps the best was from the top between Gilman's point and Kibo - which i will be posting in a few day.
Let me know what you think or if you have any kili stories! |
