[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While climbing a mountain like Kilimanjaro, experienced people say you have to climb high in order to get use to altitude, but sleep low because it is not good to stay up there. So doing the Machame Route we used to pass through places at 4600 meters of antitude and then go to sleep lower, like this Karanga campament.
When you are there the highest peak is near, at the following day you go to Barafu camp and from there to the top, so there is kind of excitement mood, in fact not all the people stops here, some others proceed directely to Barafu, which I think is very bad idea, first because there is no hurry at all considering the wonderful landscape you are enjoying, and second, you get more used to altitude.
Probably my next photos will be from the top of Africa. Take care.

This may be at whatever meters Miguel but your talent is surely higher you have compsoed a superlative image with such viacity and freshenss. the tones are lovely and the colours vibrant. Lovely pov

Hi Miguel,

I had to get used to the image a bit. The foreground is very detailed, the brown parts of the mountain a bit soft and the snowy areas is overly contrasted for my feel. But overall, the picture managed to capture the atmosphere very nicely, and the skyline is quite important in that respect. Good blue tones and light on the cloud. Yeah, the contrast on the snow could have been a bit less and the shadows on the brown parts a bit more pronounced. But next to that a good take!

Have a good weekend,
Dennis

spledid presentation...the low pov giving the best transcription of the area..the snow mount is the main object of this beauty..giving varius to the foto..the sunrays is like fire in a spots.....

Hi Miguel,
Like this one.Low POV has worked very nicely here. The vastness can well be felt here. Those camps and the wonderful patterned sky is looking attractive at the backdrop of this great peak.
Greetings from India,
Dhurjati

Hi Miguel,
You captured wonderful light here. The glow on this famous mountain is really beautiful and adding some people in and your low pov makes this image very powerful. Great how those clouds are swirling around the top...a real beauty..!!!
Regards, Henk

The sky and the moutains are beautiful. I can imagine the sensations you get there and the beauty you feel. Good pov to have majesty, as such a moutain desserves. Like the light could too.

Hi Miguel

I like the double yellow vs blue colour contrasts between the sunlit patch at right & the blue sky, and the blue & yellow tents. Good sharpness & pov. Tfs!

I envy you for this incredible trip!!Here the camp and the people give the real scale of the greatness of the mountain
Waiting the pics from the top of Africa :)
A nice Sunday

Beautiful lights, Miguel! The POV is nice and the framing is great including those people! Well taken! TFS!

Wonderful capture in the early morning(?) light. The little patches of golden light are an excellent feature of the image. The lower border of tents works well in your composition along with the group of people admiring the view and possibly anticipating the day ahead. Good work
Kath

Hola Miguel,

Very cool composition, subject matter, and lighting. The low sunlight hitting the mountain creates a few beautiful highlights and the cloud is perfect as part of the composition. Then to top is all off the people in the foreground seem to be enjoying the same view we are. Nice work.

Hola Miguel.
