[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken at the Barafu Camp, the last one before the final climbing to the peak of Kilimanajaro. There you have some time to relax, although not really sleep (well, or not to much in any case). At 11:00 PM guides weak you up to start the final attack to the summit at midnight. Considering you are at 4600 meters and the logical excitement before the adventure, to get sleep is somehow difficult.
In this photo you can also see Mawenzi mountain far in the distance. It´s one of the most elegant mountains I´ve ever seen. It has also more than 5000 meters of altitude and are very difficult to climb due to the terrain and the material they are made of. From my inexperience it looks like the remaind of a very very old crater. Anyway, it´s an interesting sight.
I wanted to include the element fo the tent and the backpacks, together with the man sat at the right, to show you the atmosphere of a campament there. I hope you like it. Take care.

Hola Miguel:

Angel.

Hi Miquel
I can't figure out why you use walkingsticks here - a fine view from this remote - yet famous sight.
Thanks for sharing - to bad the snow seams to be gone.
Jeppe

HOla Miguel
Saludos
Daniel

Hello Miquel,
After a hard treking and climbing there is some time for rest.Nice capture of the atmosphere and very nice view to the strong clouds!

Have a fine day,
Thomas

Hola Miguel.

Abrazos
Leonor

muy propagandistico lo siento

This is turning into a very interesting travelogue Miguel! I really dig the way you used the well rendered camp with all its interesting details to lead the eye to the peak, shrouded in fog; strong symbolism. The profound DoF and the great crispness are essential here. A classic travelpic, love it and what a fine story.
Have a great weekend,
Bert

I think you achieved your aim very well to capture the atmosphere of the camp. The backpacks, walking poles, even the bottle of water are all laid out in preparation. There is an air of expectation. I guess the peak of Kilimanjaro is behind you, but the inclusion of the peak in the distance under the low cloud is a good second to add to the mood
Well done; you are documenting your amazing journey well.

You composed the atmosphere perfectly. It's pertinent to show that, because the relaxing moment belongs to the journey. Well seen.

Hola Miguel.
