this is the most beautiful bird picture I have seen Jean...it is looking right into your eyes..it is on top of its own mountain..small bird with the attitude of an eagle...

Very beautiful shot: the bird's colors work really well with the background, the composition (bird and sand behind) works really well, and the DOF is excellent (with sharp bird's face).

The bird is Red and yellow barbet.nest in termits hills.in all East Africa.

What a unique creature, Jean-Richard. A very good look you captured in the bird, and the colors and detail in the plumage are very well rendered. Good DOF too. I like how he adds color and life within those almost monochrome natural surroundings. Well captured, thanks for sharing.
