Photographer’s Note
As the tide rolls in, these girls walk back home after having searched for shellfish all morning. They don't work for themselves usually, but for a 'master' and they have already given away their catch of the day, that's why they sway around with their empty baskets.
As they pass by these boys playing around in the sea, their looks are hidden underneath their veils, but the giggling is never far away during these encounters. It colours their day, as it colours mine to watch them.

Wonderful moment you captured here. The telephoto places the boys and girls very close together in the shot, though they were probably much farther apart. I also like the intense colour, the blues and the bright clothes of the girls. Well done!

Hi Sabine,
a lovely colourful shot, you've captured the moment well.
I particular like the bird flying in the top right-hand corner. Good work.

I like your photos from Africa, Sabine. This one is a nice, multi-layered vertical compo in which your choice of framing allowed you to fit a lot of details into a single shot. In addition to the human element with the girls "encountering" the boys on their way, I also like the way in which the boats are disposed in the background. The color palette is quite appealing, too. Nice work.
