[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My little warrior, when you will turn 13 you will have to kill a lion. Afterwards you could protect the cattle from any danger. And I hope that you will manage to be as wealthy as your father, this way you could also have eight wives, just like his him.
You will exchange them with cattle; they will build your house, cook and raise your kids.

I took this photo in a small village contains 95 habitants not far from Ngorongroro. All of them belong to the same family. The woman in the picture share her husband with sever more wives.
It was extremely hot there, with flies everywhere, but they were very nice and welcoming.

I like this photo especially because of their expression. It is pity I can’t submit here a photo larger than 800 pixels because otherwise you could see me through the reflection of the boy’s eyes.

Great portrait, very nice framing and nice prevalence of colours. Its funny, you are posting photos of trips that I am going to take soon. Patagonia in Dec and Tanzania next summer (maybe) with fellow trekearther captainhaddock.

Wow! Great capture of human expressions. The woman seem proud and the boy indeed seems like having an expression of a little warrior. Beautiful portrait of a world and culture so different from Europe.

This is a beautiful portrait! Maybe a slight bit too much neatimage, but otherwise a fine framing and interesting faces! Well done, Léonie

Wonderful portrait. Excellent colours, and cropping. The look in the little childs eyes goes straight into my heart. So serious, so wise, yet so young.
The saying that the eyes are the mirror of one's soul really shows in this portrait. I can see you have had a tricky light situation here, which I think you handles very, very well.
