Day two of the safari trip.
Arriving at the Ngorongoro crater. This vulcano exploded 3,6 million years ago, blowing pieces of rock all the way up to the Serengeti park, kilometers away. The result is this big hole; 600 meters deep, 20 km's wide. Because of the height and the hills where clouds form, there's always water int he crater. As a result, there's thousands of animals living in the crater. Where ever you look, you see big herds. Really, a beautiful ecosystem to visit!!! One of the most beautiful places on earth I've seen. |

The repeating diagonals and the curving line from the mist/clouds along the top make for a great composition. Excellent shot.
The drive in must have been fun! Did u shoot any lions?
Ngorongoro I hope will last forever.

Hi Femke
Superb aerial perspective, with diminishing tonal ranges from front to back. Excellent sharpness & composition, with the repetition of the diagonals. Well done!

C'est bien comme ça, je confirme !
bravo pour ce bon rendu
You made a pretty good photo in these weather conditions, Femke. Good use of diagonals in the compo and interesting effect with the various layers gradually fading towards the background. Good inclusion of the low-hanging clouds.
quite an effect to see the clouds spilling over in "slow motion"
good capture here Femke
