[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken in a small Masaii village near Arusha. It is usual to see small children looking after their smaller brothers and sisters. Sadly many of the children in this village seemed unwell, all had running noses and eyes thick with conjuntivitis... some children could barely open their eyes. The white spots in the corner of the baby's eyes are such an infection.

Interesting and sad. Beautiful colours and nice contrast between the ground and the intense colours of the children.

Well done!

Regards,

Chris

A little too dark on the skin I think. Also, too bad the foot has been cropped. Otherwise, an interesting composition...

Hi Karina, This is a really heavy duty and great responsibility. It is hard to look at this scene. I think this photo has shown an example of many deep social problems to a undeveloped country.
Nice composition, nice capture and very detailed photo. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Karina, This scene is very emotional. Very nice composition and most of all very meaningful. I was wondering a you working with WHO ? Anyway, well done. Regards, Andrew

Very powerful composition, Karina, especially how you kept the two boys along the diagonal and pointing to opposite directions. You have captured his effort in carrying the baby well. Strong note.

hi karina,
another good shot from arusha.it is surely an interesting composition here.i feel by these photos you have given us a lot to think in terms of humanity and one which the world needs to look with as far as such poor african nations are concerned.very descriptive shot with an informative note.
i dont know whether it is true or not but i feel you have tried to soften the upper most part of the photo(the light brown sands)as i can see something caused by softening effecting the small child's head.if you observe in detail you can notice it.
regards,
ravish.

Sweet pours babies they have to carry the problems of the world and beside of all they know how to smile.

Hi Karina!

How are you!?
It must have been difficult for you to see a situation like this knowing that there is little you can do about it! The picture will bring it under the intention of others, and that is always a good thing!
Take care!

Ramon

hi karina
this is a very touching photo you have here ... it is so touching that i feel sad in critiquing it .... sad because, I feel that we can critique objective things, but qualitative subjective things should be left as such, they should onlly be felt
neways .. I like the way you composed this photo, with a girl doing babysitting duties and her another brother in the top right of the photo
great job
Peace

Nice to see you, Karina, again with a child motive which you are really strong with. This time you managed to take picture very delicately, not bothering these poor kids by intrusive photographing. Then even some features which could be criticised in other photo here are the assets (PoV from above underlining how little the kids are, dark faces in shadow stressing sadness.) The composition is very good and it shold not be perfect.
The picture is very strong and it is even stronger when we realize that these kids are probably not the poorest in Africa, if taking into account their relatively normal, not extremely hungry look, relatively decent clothes and beads on their necks. What a continent, what a horrible world...

Good one... yes, it's really sad. Sometimes is not good take pics from poor people because you are disturbing them, but in this case I think you were taking care of the "intimity"... I mean, you didn't take a direct shot from the infection of the baby o something like that... you preserved the image of the childern... Well done...

karina,
I would love to see her whole left foot but I can live with this too.so lovely children, good compo and your POV is very selective here.
regards
