When this man saw me coming with my camera, it was obvious he didn't want to collaborate. But I was so attracted to this succession of blue doors, with his clothes of the same colour fitting in, that I had to insist a bit.
As he stubbornly refused by hiding himself with the newspaper he was busy reading, he actually offered me a more interesting photo, just by the way he was trying hard to remain incognito.

une scène bien captée, j'aime bien l'angle de vue avec la perspective et les détails, bonne présence de l'homme au journal.

Like the idea of this image. The man looks quite interesting covering his face by the newspaper. All look superb unique and original. Well done with great timing.

Your note is interesting but, from this picture, I don't think I would have been aware that this man was actively avoiding being photographed - rather I see him simply sitting engossed in reading his newspaper and unaware of your presence.
Whatever the situation, you have captured this scene perfectly and the man is well placed in the frame against the blue door (matching his trousers) and his newspaper also is an added focal point because it has some bright and varied colours in its bold text. In fact, the soft subdued lighting brings out the colours beautfully, your exposure is perfect and the details and sharpness are exquisite - as always.

J'essayais quand même de vérifier s'il n'avait pas fait un trou dans son journal pour t'épier :) Bravo pour l'harmonie des tons entre les habits et les volets. Une scène très bien capturée et vivante.

He was so shy. Most people are. That's the reason I rarely have people in my picture. Some time I need to wait long time for empty spot.

What a fantastic street scene!
You are right that this photo is more interesting than if he had lowered his paper and looked at you. All the wonderful qualities of a candid would have disappeared.

Il a eu raison, on est moins attiré par lui et donc on peut regarder les portes et volets en accord chromatique avec ses habits.

I like this composition and story very much. It's great that you went on to incorporate your reluctant model in this fine diagonal composition, he is well connected both to the setting and to you, as his attitude and your approach were a form of communication anyway. Your role in the "dialogue" is now adopted by the viewer:) This small slice of life looks so natural, mysterious, and amusing. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,

This is a clever shot. You've even managed to stoop down to his level. I guess you have to have a certain amount of brass neck to insist on taking your photograph in the face of such obvious lack of cooperation. A job well done.

Many portraits and daily life picture that are all so enjoyable and with the same superb photo quality!
I chose this one for a comment because it's truly beautiful, attractive and interesting! You had a great idea and did a great photo job, including that suitable title for it!
TFS - congrats,

Another interesting anecdote, no bleeding finger this time but a good little account nevertheless. Now you got him appearing to read with great intensity and you got your blue echoes. Regards. Klaudio.
