Nungwi, sur la cote nord ouest de Zanzibar, est un village très actif dans la construction artisanale des dhows ou boutres, encore très largement utilisés par les pêcheurs sur les eaux de l'océan indien, au large des côtes de l'Afrique de l'est
Les enfants, eux, batifolent dans la mer, se servant de bouteilles d'eau minérale ou de bidons comme flotteurs pour apprendre à nager

Nungwi, on the north west coast of Zanzibar, is a very active village for the artisanal construction of dhows, these wooden boats widely used by fishermen on the waters of Indian ocean, off the shores of east Africa
Chidren play in the sea, using empty bottles of mineral water or tanks, as floats to learn swimming

This is stunner to me, I am very impressed with the lighting which is so very well managed with very pleasing result. Again as usual, strong contracting colors play a greater role in making this a successful image, well spotted. The impact is further enhanced by your good composition and pov, main focus point is perfectly in place with lovely line of boats as supplementary subjects. Clean and cool! Gorgeous shot. Les bidons jaunes attirent l'oeil , dans cette scène à la fois pleine de joie et de mouvement , mais aussi emprunte de mélancolie (mer blanche , ciel laiteux , bateaux sombres ) . Une étonnante composition .

encore une image extraordinaire,aux couleurs douces dans lesquelles le jaune fait un superbe contraste!C'est dynamique et plein de gaieté,et ça m'attendrit de voir ses enfants s'amuser autant avec de simples bidons.J'attends la suite avec impatience.

ça sent la joie de vivre!!! c'est plein de gaité, de couleurs...ça manque peut-etre un poil de ciel bleu;-) mais tu y es pour rien!!
super compo, qui donne la peche avec une garde epuisante (et rebelotte demain! il me font donc une autre photo aussi vivifiante demain!!!)

Hello Patrick,
The water has an unusual but very attractive colour that matches the grey sky very nicely. I really like this composition where the nearest girl is perfectly placed, also giving you a nice smile. She creates a good connection with the other kids and further on to the line of boats. The yellow containers are very attractive details.

Bonjour Patrick,

C'est une belle scène de la vie quotidienne que tu nous présentes là. La composition est vraiment excellente, les enfants étant placés sur une diagonale menant le regard vers l'horizon et les bateaux.
Les couleurs sont surprenantes (dans le bon sens du terme). Beaucoup de douceur dans ces teintes blanches de l'eau, du sable, du ciel, et ces couleurs vives des enfants et de leurs bidons : c'est du plus bel effet.

Fishes here are very delicious, i had eaten them everyday during staying.

Hello Patrick - There is a wonderful lightness and positive "feel" to this shot. The composition is super with the boats on the horizon, a group of bathers/water collectors mid-ground and the smiling young girl well positioned in the foreground. The yellow and orange colour pops bring the whole shot to life. Good work! Best regards Rosemary

A beautiful photo in every way, from the soft light, the hints of brightness, the dhows gently rocking on the water, and of course the marvellous group of playing children. You placed the closest one so delightfully in the composition. I very much like the line of children leading the eye out to the boats, and the yellow containers make a good colour focal point. Superb.

This is superb for many reasons. Having one child in the foreground really strenthens the composition and she looks so happy. The colour of the water is stunning and the line of boats near the horizon completes the scene. Those bright yellow tanks add vibrancy. Excellent.

Hi Patrick,
a very nice composition and a carefree moment of daily life. There is something timeless in this picture, maybe partly because of the style of the boats, which I think, must have stayed the same for ages. I like the fine pastel hues of the sea and the sky, and the colors of the clothes and the tanks give good contrast. Nice eye contact too!

alors te voilà de retour. Cette image est magnifique, c'est ma préférée des 3; J'adore l'expression malicieuse de la fillette à droite.
J'espère que tu as aimé ton séjour. En ce qui me concerne, j'y retourne le 8 février. J'irais aussi à Nungwi où nous avons rénové le dispensaire il y a 2 ans.
Ça me fait vraiment plaisir de voir ton regard sur ce lieu qui m'est tellement familier.

C'est une photo très belle et vraiment agréable!
La netteté, la gestion de la lumière, les couleurs obtenues, le pdv choisi, les contrastes, le pp, le format horizontal, l'encadrement noir & blanc et surtout la compo sont excellents, chouettes!
Les enfants qui se divertissent ont été photographiés superbement dans une ambiance unique!

La couleur de la mer est plus que tentante!
La petite du premier plan est bien placée, en coin, et son expression est bien sympathique.

Une très belle photo, peut-être ma préférée parmi tes photos récentes de Zanzibar (qui sont aussi toutes très bonnes). Belles couleurs douces avec ces différents tons de bleu de la mer, du ciel et des robes, et puis ces taches jaunes qui apportent du soleil. Agréable composition qui met bien en valeur le beau sourire de la jeune fille. Les baigneurs secondaires (si on peut dire) contribuent aussi beaucoup à l’atmosphère de l'image. Et puis intéressants bateaux typiques en arrière plan.

Another joyful picture, just wonderful how the yellow stands out here. Also the smile of the girl is really tops. Crop on the boat left is a bit close, otherwise this would be perfect in this format. Again the joy and pure pleasure more than make up!

A wonderfully cheerful picture! The clear water looks perfect to run around in! Good composition with the horizon in the upper portion, and no overlap between the children and the boats behind. Excellent timing as well, with the brilliant smile of the girl at right.
