Bonjour Patrick,

I like this shot very much, children being children! The light management is excellent considering stark contrast in light and dark areas. The wide angle lens has created a condition that shows the curvature of the earth.

Bonjour Patrick,

Back here after a week in paradise...that must have been a crash landing! A great shot to kick off your Zanzibar series. Great kids, but a strange composition, rather centralized, but I can't say that I don't like it. The smile of the boy up front is superb, but it's the little one on the left that's the real heartbreaker. Superb shadows on this white sand too (maybe a pity the ones bottom left go out of the frame - not sure, I'm still making my mind up...)

A heartwarming shot of paradise. We need it. Tfs & welcome back.

ha ravie de ce retour....en effet plage paradisiaque avec des enfants qui ont l'air tout joyeux et ravis de poser....un air des photos de Bertrand (en plus masculines;-))
dommage que les ombres soient coupées (il faut bien chipoter!!!)
j'attends les suivantes avec impatience
si tu as du mal à te rehabituer aux temperatures du nors, tu peux venir dans le sud ce n'est pas Zanzibar mais c'est presque le printemps!!;-)

Welcome back from paradise! and what a starter we have here. Nice clean image of this beach with cheery smiling face, good color and shadows and above all the contrasting colors they make to overall image. I like the shades of the sky it looks quite threatening on the left. Nice capture. TFS

Dear Patrick!
I`m thinking about middle european kids,having mobile phones and playstations,or more modern stuff,I don`t understand......
We have to earn our money in this crazy world and want to escape to paradise as often as we can.And these kids ,they are dreaming of a life,western standard.BUt for their parents,Idon`t know where is the better living?????

A great shot of them playing with their simple toys and a good composition with the boats of their fathers in the distance.

Cette photo est un bijoux! Les enfants sont très expressifs et impriment une belle dynamique à l'image! La lumière aussi très belle qui met bien en valeur les ombres sur le sable! Bravo pour cette réussite!

La lumière à contrejour est parfaitement maitrisée avec de bons détails et couleurs.
On arrive à ressentir la texture de ce superbe sable...

excellent composition here. Great to see this fine moody one in the beach. The light is very well managed and the POV is fine. A fine daily life on the beach with those playing childrens. A nice presentation from this paradice. Great work. Tfs.

Have you seen the latest photo of Hisashi? It seems that between you, Hisashi and Gaby, your portraits of children are par eccellence. Such skill has been employed here, wonderful colours, excellent control of the shutter (I know how fast kids can move!), plays of shadow and light and superb contrasts. I like this photo alot. There are only 1 thing I can think of to keep this as a "Critique" rather than a "Comment" and that is with regards to the slightly burnt sky on the right. Perhaps a further grad filter in PP.

Bonjour Patrick. A photo like this one reminds me of the simple pleasures that i enjoyed by the sea when just a child in Dalmatia and it reminds me of how much the modern, urban child is missing of the fun and improvisations that a world without iPods and computer games can bring.
