Which chance you had to be able to attend this meeting of plays. These lion cubs are really tenderizing. I like much of which framing and the marvellous quality of the image. The relief with savanna is perfect. Thank you for sharing Kath.

Aaaaaah, more c*ts for K*th, how cute they are :-)
Key for such an image is the focus, because of the low Dof from the long focal and yours is spot on, also it is nice that you got two different expressions from them.

Hi Kath,

I've read a lot about safari photos where the beasts doesn't even come out of their hiding spots.

Here you've found yourself in presence of awesome creatures and you didn't miss your chance to catch them at their finest moment. Good use of the foreground vegetation to create multiple layers and add depth. Great composition!

Hello Kath,
Excellent acapture of these two adorable young lions. The setting with 250mm is very good, and you have obtained a very clean image, with many quality and very good definition.
I like how they join the landscape of his environment and the out of focus background, in a good work with the field depth and with the balance of the color.

Just like two oversized pussycats... well not quite!
They pose really well for the double portrait, and I notice the fine details in the fur coat.
A well balanced composition, where the subjects are well isolated from the background!

This could come straight out of a National Geographic magazine. The quality is superb. I like how the lions seem intent on the same object and how they're just behind some grass. The bokeh in the background really helps accuentuate the fur which is already very sharp.

Hi, Kath. A good off-centre composition which allows us to discover the surroundings even though it is in bokeh form. I also like the inclusion of the grass in the foreground which makes the two cubs stand out very well. Very good sharpness.

Great depth of field Kath, with the background blurred, the foreground just slightly blurred and the cubs really crystal sharp. I like the way you have positioned them in the frame.

Hello Kath -

You really had a difficult choice to make with all of the photos being worthy of the main post. I do like the first two the best because of the pose. The third one is a fun image showing the cubs at play, but the first two shows the majesty of the lion and what these two little guys will become. The late after sun warms the fur and grass making the image pop off of the screen. The techs are spot on. I still think you should submit these as a portfolio or as individual images. Well seen and presented.

here again this unquestionable spot on sharpness with a focal length of 250mm at 1/180s. Your camera was definitively on a rock solid place. I rarely have seen such good lion images as you are presenting here at the moment.

Ah ! comment ne pas succomber au charme de cette photographie. Difficile d'imaginer que ces bêtes sont dangereuses, il faut dire que les peluches rencontrées dans les magasins de jouets sont toujours orientées comme un modèle de douceur !

Manificent shot of those two lion cubs. Excellent composition with to cubs against the sky and I am really impressed the cubs in perfect focus while both the foreground and the background are a blurred. The lighting conditions seem too have been very good too. A superb photo job!

I am simply amazed at the clarity of the pictures. Both this & the WS are excellent, with maybe this having a slight edge because they are facing the camera. The one showing the whole (?) litter is also great. Fine DOF with the BG blurred. Excellent work! Would you also have a picture of the mother with the cubs?

celà fait longtemps que je ne suis passée dans ta galerie et je remarque que j'ai eu bien tort car des trésors depuis de superbes photos de ce pays avec là deux lionnes (ou lionceaux) qui sont tres expressifs et l'on aurait envie de les caresser...mais...
