[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I won't give you a lecture on animals on the wild, especially when professionals like Callie and many more are members of TE and they can say more on Hippos than anybody else.

I will only add this very strange and interesting info. Hippos claim the most deaths in the whole savvanah by running over people!!!

butifull u can tell a lot of things with this pictur thanks

A lazy day at the beach for these hippie hippos :-) The mood of relaxed slumber really stands out in this image Panos. You can tell they have been quiet for quite some time because the water isn't muddy at all from their usual boisterous movement in the water.Well done.

Absolutely beautiful. Nature at rest. Very good note!! ;~)

A splendid pod of hippos, somehow, they always remind me of pigs, I think it is the pink colour from their glands - anti-sunburn. Panos, I only wish I was a professional. just an avid amateur. Look at the smal one lounging away on its side, fron middle on the sanbank - a real pig pose!~

i've never seen so many hippos in one space before. good shot.

And I thought that hippos killed by pulling you under the water! One learns much on TE! The scattered composition is very nice, and it was appropriate to fill the frame here. The lighting is a bit harsh, but at sunset, they were probably all back in the water! The overall composition makes a nice diagonal line from bottom right to top left that works well. Nice one!

I have to admit, i am a litle bit envious of you right now. The only photo of a Hippo i came back with from my safari is, well, lets just say that i know it is there even if i cant see it. And we stayed for a long time. ;) Thsi si a great picture of hippos, just enjoying life without a care in the world. Very nice and clear shot.

How can a Hippo run over a human? Well, still this is a good picture.

I love this picture. Especially the baby just left of center. This is a bit close even for 200mm though :)

haha nice pic! I like the one in the middle with his legs spread out in every direction. Total relaxation :)
