Photographer’s Note
This is another shot from tanzania a short time before the rain.
These trees are very typical for africa and so also for the serengeti np.
While we were looking for another leopard after this one I took this shot. There are just a few leopards in tanzania and very difficult to find.
So the leopards are the mainattraction I think.
When we heard that somebody is one a lot of cars were also waitng for the leopard with us.
Hope you like this shot.

Hi Tobias,
I like the yellow cast here in contrast with the moody blue sky. At first i was thinking applying the rule of thirds, but as i go on i find your composition better.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice weekend. Greeting from Thailand.

Hi Tobias,
I like this simple photo of this lonely tree. The colors of this photo are fine and I like that yellow grass.
The dark sky is also nice.

Hello Tobias,
I like the colour palette with the yellow grass and the blue sky, both contrasting nicely with the deep green foliage!
Nice use of the lonely tree theme, fine exposure of the clouds...

Hello Tobias,
I like very much this shot of the lone tree the horizon line defining ground level about 40% from the bottom of the frame, the sky 60%. Good colors and resolution, very good composition!

Hi Tobias,
Very beautiful framing of this solitary tree. The image is very simple but the colors and the light are superb and very well managed what makes the power of this photograph. The constrastes are pleasant. Good work Tobias, cheer.

Hallo Tobias,
For someone at your age you have a good eye in seeing things but also the capability to put them on screen in a very decent composition. The next step would be better glass because that 18-55 is really a terrible lens, much to soft, but i guess that's why they give him away for free when buying a new camera.
Composition with the tree is interesting but also the light which is not always easy around the Equator.
Well done....a good shot.
Regards, Henk

Hi, Toba,
really nicely done. You have SUCH a good eye. I like the very simple composition and the great colors. The shape of the tree looks as though it's supporting the clouds. :)) As Henk mentioned it could be a tad sharper, but I'm sure you'll get that sorted out soon. VERY well done! Many thanks and kindest wishes,
Shelly

Hi Tobias!

Gute Arbeit.

This is a very simple but effective composition with the 2/3 v 1/3 split between land and sky. The light on the tree is quite good and it doesn't look like rain at all. Good well saturated colours. Well done

Hi Tobias,
The spirit of the savana is present here. Beautiful golden tones over the grass and a contrasting sky make a perfect combination for this solitary tree.

Hallo Tobias. Sehenswert. Viele Grüße, wolfgang.

Hello Tobias,
Congratulations on concentrating on the small, overlooked details of your safari. Most photographers would have only done the grand scenics and the wildlife, but you found this lovely composition, which is simply composed yet speaks volumes about the wide open spaces of the Serengeti. Superb!

Hi Toba,

Hi Tobias,
This tree is impressive. I like the way you positioned it in your composition, leaving an interesting space to the sky and to the field.
Well done, with great colours.

Hi Tobias,
A great view of this African landscape, presented in an excellent vertical composition. The light is really enhancing and I like the contrast between the golden hue of the fields and the blueish colour of the sky. Splendid photo work!

Hallo Toba,
Your setting at vertical format is good and catches the graphism of this solitary tree in the middle of the plain, with a good organization of the composition, and a nice contrast of the golden tones of the grass and the blue of the sky.
Good work in the exposure, and good result in the quality of the image and of the colors.
Best regards,
Josep

Hi Toba,
great shot, very emotional. The lonely tree, on barren ground and the clouds just won't bring rain...
Great colors and very sharp. Well done!

hello toba
i like the light and colors in this one. i agree with henk: you've got a great eye, friend. as to composition: i find the tree a bit 'cramped' in this one. i know you tried to place it 'off center', but in my opinion (by far, not professional) you would have given the dues to the canon (rule) priests by placing thte horizon on 1/3 (which you almost did). after that you'd be free to do with the tree as you please... and i'd put it on the horizontal dead center :) but again, that's me :)
warm regards,
kristaps
