[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It´s more than a year since I climbed Kilimanjaro. The highest standing point in Africa, 5895 meters above the sea level. It was a challenge I was able to accomplish, life is made of challenges is it not? Let´s face it.
This photo was taken at Barafu camp. The last one before the final climbing to the summit. Here we were at 4600 meters of altitude. What you can see in the background is Mawenzi mountain, almost as high as Kilimanjaro but much more difficult to reach the peak because of the sand of the soil. To risky... Well, it was a nice moment.

For the challenges of life!
Miguel

Hola tio.

Como te dije en su momento, el sitio debe ser tremendo y la vista...más. Estupenda la nube esa por cierto.

Qué tal tus lios con los ordenadores???

Un saludo!

Hi, Miguel.
Stunning image, looks like the man can stand up and walk through the clouds (could he?). A powerful composition.

Hola Miguel,
I like the way the clous almost looks like steam coming out of a volcano; the hiker in the FG adds important detail. A great photo to celebrate your accomplishment. Congratulations also on selling a photo for the book cover, it looks very interesting and you're alomost off to India again. Exciting times!!

Hola Miguel!

Eres un amante y un experto de los paisajes montanosos, una impresionante foto de naturaleza aqui, un buen retrato a la vez! Gran encuadre y composicion y buen manejo de la luz! Felicidades!

Un saludo,

Hello Miguel
A good photo looking towards Mawenzi with your guide/porter giving perspective. A year before you I trekked the Rongai route which goes via the base of Mawenzi. An absolute challenge for me - not so much the physical challenge but rather the emotional challenge because of the altitude. My few minutes at the 5895m sign are now a blur and almost a dream. Congratulations, Marlene
