These baboons are really funny. It's a pity they are no looking toward us.

Wonderful wildlife picture! I have noticed in zoos that these animals take care each other. The moment you captured them was very good as well as the focus! I like the clarity and the background, too.

Oh so cute.
Thank you for bringing me back to tanzania with your shots I Really like your shots.
also this Maybe I will upload a monkey picture soon too.
Well done Kath
Hi Kath,
I continue to find it very interesting that your wildlife lens of choice was your 24-120mm zoom. You can really get in close on these tours. This is your best wildlife post yet, among many outstanding ones. Baboons aren't on everyone's favorite animal list, but the composition, blistering sharpness and the expressions of the baboons are fabulous!
Absolutely incredible! This one goes into my favorites!

Hello Kath,
Funny, but also very good. The interaction between those two is very well captured and your exposure here is much and much betetr than the previous version. Also the vertical framing works very good with that diagonal treetrunk in front...i like it.

Hi, Kath -
I had to laugh when I saw this! It is soooo typical of baboons and other primates (man excepted, I suppose, but my wife and I were once groomed by a semi-tame Gelada baboon in Ethiopia). And the look on the groomie's face is priceless.
Baboons are a nuisance, as Stan hinted, but they can be fun to watch.
Best,
Dan

Hi Kath,
Excellent portrait of those two baboons on the tree. It's indeed great to see how they take care of each other and you captured it wonderfully in this photo. They stand out nicely against the green background too. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Kath,
I can see you have been on a fantastic journey since the last time I was on TE. I'm so jealous you got such fantastic wildlife photos. The only way I see things like that are at a zoo (snoozer) or on TV (even snoozier!). Nice timing with the shot. I look forward to seeing more.

Salut kath
une image pleine de tendresse et une scéne bien capturée, mais je trouve que c'est trop centré tu aurai pu donné plus d'espace au dessus dans le cadrage

Hello Kath,
Nice scene of this grooming in family. It is a good capture, spontaneous and very funny, with much quality of image, which allows us to see all the details.
The setting is perfect.
Great work, as usual, my friend.
Best wishes,
Josep
Hi Kath,
I can almost hear his moans of delight!! You've framed it perfectly, the detail and DOF are impeccable and the colors true. I LOVE it!!
I'm sure we won't have anything as fabulous as this trip for you although I'm very much looking forward to your visit. We're on our way to meet Peter and some Oregonians at Painted Rocks and there were snow warnings last night. We might be wishing for snow in September!!

Hi Kath
These are really cute. You've framed them nicely on the log with their tails draping over. Their fur is nice and sharp and it contrasts against the green vegetation.

Hi, Kath. A touching scene with these two baboons grooming each other. The one on the right seems to be enjoying it. The fact they are sitting on a trunk brings them out quite well in the picture. The contrast with the surrounding vegetation is another way of attracting our attention towards them. As someone already pointed out, I think it would have been better if the animals had been looking in your direction.

Kath,
such a typical moment in a monkey's life. I wish we humans would have kept that in our habits ;-) Nice capture that you got here and it seems that they didn't bother with your camera and presence. The moment of indulgence was more important.

Hi Kath,
Scratch my throat and I'll scratch yours... :-P)
I think monkeys look at their best and most captivating when imitating humans in their behaviour. The interaction between both is there to catch attention and elevate the "interest factor". Your collection of wild animals is highly captivating and the consistency of quality is way up there.
Cheers!

Hello Kath!
Very nice picture with amazing colors, great contrast and excellent sharpness.
You chose a brilliant point of view to capture this really nice scene.
I also like the frame which matches to the composition very well!

Hello Kath -
"Oooo. that feels good." Well seen naturalists image. Composition is spot on with the baboons slightly off center and a slice of the environment to place the subjects in. I particularly like how the tails lay on the log and you have included them in the image. Everything about this image is spot on the money. Well done.
Thank you for sharing.

Good picture of the couple here, I guess removing lice & insects from the fur. Wish we could see the face of the baboon on the left, but given the difference in sizes, is the one on the right a male & the other female? Fine use of DOF for this picture. Well done!

The texture of the woods is simmilat to the skin of the baboons. I like the long tails...........and was thinking.......what the baboons were doing?
Sure, grooming is what they usually love......and the title is perfect.....Bliss.

Rajeev
