Actually the title is misleading... they were really security employed by the hotel to 'patrol' the beach. What stuck me is how far away they were from home, and the way they strolled along the beach reminded me of a pair on holiday.

I was also struck by the simplicity of this image and the contrast of colour. Would love some opinions on this....

I like this image even though I don't enjoy the square format here. If you had used a 24X36, i believe we would sense more the sense of direction,
Looking at it this way my eyes are going from bottom to top.
It would be better to go from right to left..

Hi Karina,
a good one ! I really like the contrast in colours (beach, sea and clothes), but I would have made the people in the back disappear (I did that quick and dirty in PS and for me it looks better with JUST the two Massai and nothing else..Still, I like it !
Regards,
Bernd

Nice pic, very good colors , I did a workshop, my first one. Hope you like it.

It almost looks like they forgot there job and where together on a path of there own... The colors are amazing Karina... and I am not surprised to find such a nice talent in you... Personally when I see the beaches you took on you'r pictures untill now they remind me of a place that I haven't visited yet... The Islands around Australia... Ramon

I like this shot Karina, but I kind of wish you shot from a lower angle. That and the people in the water are a little distracting. I think it would help if they were cropped out...that is if you wanted to of course. I'm planning a trip to Zanzibar and Africa next year, ... I may have questions for you in the future.

regards, Carey

I also like this picture, though I would have shot it from a lower point of view. I think I would have also cropped out the -what are they?- boats/jetski's as they disturb me too much. And did you try to sharpen the photo? It looks a little vague. Good effort though! I love the colors of the water!

Superb color and composition.

I love this picture. The colours are great! Its perfect for a Zanzibar ad. Congratulations. Maiko

I've missed this one, it's a beautiful white sand beach. I would have prefered this pic in landscape, but it's a shot.

Very interesting image. I lived in Kenya so know beaches and people like this. I agree with some of the comments about how one could crop and rearrange this image, but of course there is no best way - depends what YOU like. My major criticism is the graininess/pixelation of the image. Suggests it is cropped from a much bigger pic, or you had a very low pixel camera.
