Stone Town in Zanzibar, a scene from the street.

I noticed whis writing and a group of kids. I kept walking tho without stopping, then I thought about it, that it can make a good photo, I went back, squatted and then children noticed me and started running to be in the picture. I clicked once and went away.

Hi Maciej.... very nice photo... did you notice how the kid on the left has something being held up to his belly? I don't know what it is, but with the abortion message in mind, it sort of looks threatening...

I disagree compleetly with the message on the wall, but that's another point. This picture is great. The kid running into the scene is cool. The little girl looks like dancing. Great colours. Best wishes, Nino.

Hi Maciej,

Very effective and ironic shot! Good composition and light, well seen and photographed.

Hi Maciej. "Casual" shot, but perfect. You caught the moment and a great situation. I suppose the crop is deliberate and I like it, it is very effectful in this motive and it adds to the action in the motive. Mind leeds to eye leeds to lense and you have told a fine story, thank's for sharing. Best regards Jens

Hi Maciej,
what a wonderful shot full of life and colors.
I like this compo and its effective message.
Thanks for sharing.
Alberto

something indeed happens in this shot! pity that the kid on the far left has an arm hanging there.. but this is a minor flaw. I love the running kid coming into the frame and the overall colors.. nice capture!

Hello Maciej.
Tough shot...so many will not be able to get by the statement that you only recorded. I do not so much mind the arm coming from the side of the picture...here's my take. The arm represents the faceless, in the arm is a microphone...to give a voice. Remember, that a voice is not always correct, but it is a voice and needs to be listened to. So many times this procedure is the last recourse of the young in a tough situation...Does this child represent that particular circumstance; well, that's for us to determine...each one on his/her own.

Hello, Maciej--
Great work here, with the motion blur pulling into the scene, and the children seeming to speak with the writing. Interesting use of the number three: Three children (and an arm), three steps, three layers of color, it all has a nice harmony to it. Mixed feelings on the arm at right, but it doesn't bother me too much.
Thanks!
sam

Hey Maceij,
The contrast between the wall writing and the running children is striking! One can interpret these two placed juxtaposed to each other in his/her own way. One can see hope in it and one can see irony in it. And that i believe is the success of a photograph...should make one think.
TFS,
Best,
Durba

Hi Maciej!
I already wrote a few words on this photo on Flickr, but it's worth a few more here on TE. The message is pretty straight forward, and all the kids around are just the cherry on the cake. I think that this photo is actually quite violent somehow. The straight lines, the assertion, "crime" bold and black, and appart from the little girl, I feel like the kids are trying to escape (although your note says the contrary...).
Great shot!

Many details make this photo very appealing. Actions, shapes, colors, multiple moments captured, the timing.
Nice one!

Very nice composition, an original one thanks to the running kids. Great shot.

Perfect subjects to have in front of this writing Maciej. Love the way the building is divided up into rectangles with a splash of kids around the edges.
