Something about a fleeting moment, not really your usual point of view though. In B&W, it might have been something from Peter K., except perhaps that it's a little too peaceful for him.
Soft, textured (or giving the impression to be so), mindresting.. I quite like it that way, even though the linear horizontal composition feels a bit static.
Anyway, looking forward to see how's East Africa through your frame and you coped with a different continent.

gosh Maciek, this is soooo beautifull, just love everything about it. Luko brings up Peter K, not sure if he meant me or not, I however would draw comparisons to couple of beach images Alain took in India. Fantastic work, a bit out of your usual territory, inspiring I would add.
Luko also mentions peacefull, I am not sure, I would rather say that the image is a bit like a canvas where each one of us can finish it off with our own stories and emotions, I could see it as peacefull, but also I am getting a feeling of separation, missing a loved one, the person with arms spread out can be enjyong the peace, and searching for it.
Just beautifull, to be honest in a last little while there have been very few photographs that really impress me, this one truly does.

I also like it, even though I don't really think this is the result of your photographic expertise... This reminds me of my youngster years (10-20). So many evenings with the same atmosphere...

Hi Maciek. For me there are some strong points here, but also some weak points. The strong points are the colors and the bottom half of the photo. I love the blur on the man and on the moving water. What I don't care for though is how the blur has affected the ships. I wish they were a little clearer; maybe not razor sharp, but sharper. I know IS does wonderful things, but I can't help but think that this shot calls for a tripod. Of course, I could be wrong, and the boats would still be too blurred with a 'pod, but I have a feeling we are seeing camera shake more than motion blur.

Welcome back in the UK then!
Quite simple and effective, and not as peacefull as it looks I'd say... On he contrary, I think that it's a bit anguishing somehow.

Beuatiful dreamy sht,Maciej. It doesn't looklike your shot - the mass of blur is very unlike you, but I like it - I find this one intensely oetic and beautiful. great colors!
best,
Francis

Hi Maciej
You have dcreated a very special effect with a rather simple picture. Interesting. I don't know if I like it but it is a original picutre this way.
greetings Albrecht

Hello, Maciej--
All the best on your return. The blur on the boats may bother me a little bit... but i feel like if you stuck this picture on a tripod it would feel rather boring and static. Instead, you managed to hold it sharp enough to be significant, but the blure gives it a very moving feel, a fleeting and ephemeral peace that really holds my interest.
Thanks!
sam
