[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In September and October the south-east monsoon, called the Kuzi, blows across the lagoons that line the east coast of Zanzibar, winds which for centuries brought Arab traders back to India and the Persian Gulf with their cargoes of ivory, tortoise shell, rhino horn and slaves, and which here whip up the high spring tide waters on the reef flat under the rising moon.

Hi, nice pic. Evocative and well exposed.
I have one similar, If you like to see and tell me what do you think about it

Bonjour Phillip,
great pic, I love it!
It has the mood of an old black and white movie.
Very impressive!
Bravo et merci.
Christian

This is a real photograph.
The problem for not much point credited to you is this is true art.
For me, your capture takes my hat off!
Thank you,

Thanh

I am planning myself to have my next vacation in Tanzania. Zanzibar was already a must in my list but after this picture I completely sure that I do not want to miss this island. The landscape, light, reflections gives an ethereal atmosphere ... extremely romantic.
This is one of my favorite pictures so far.

Difficult the first time we saw your pictures to choose one of them.
I choose this one because of course it' s beautiful but because this dreaming name too : "Zanzibar".
I' ll come back again on your gallery.

You had a good idea, but I think it doesn't work at all. If I was taking this photo, I'd tried to place the middle plant higher (by ducking), so it's shape (which is the main spot, isn't it?) was seen better. Also, such high-contrasted photo needs sharpness - and your version is kind of blurry.
Very nice sea, though!

Hi Phillip,
Mystic shot with nice composition, even if a more decentrated frame would have been more suitable for me.
Well done.
Cristian
