The Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania is a fantastic place to be. Amazing landscape and ideal for safari. It is a wildlife microcosm as it is not that easy for animals to leave the crater. There a lots of larger animals there and as there are not that many places where they can hide it's quite easy to shoot them. On film, of course :-)

Andreas,
This is an excellent work with your camera.You have shown the size of the tree with the elephant.Otherwise one would not know how big the tree is.The Horizon is nice emptiness but depicting vast wild land.

I don't know if your main subject is the Tree or the elephant, but on the whole, they compliment each other.Beautifully done and TFS - Vikram

It's not the usual sweeping view of the safari, i like how you focused on some trees and the elephant. How near can you go?

This is an original approach. Usually I've seen high contrasted images of Africa, harsh lighte images, never a pastel color version. Congratulations on achieving a fresh presentation. Thanks for sharing.

Es sieht aus, als wärest Du auch ein großer Afrika-Fan.
Wenn jemand das verstehen kann, dann ich. :-))

Diese Aufnahmesituation fällt sicher unter das typische Traumbild von Afrika - auch für mich.
Etwas mittig ist das Motiv vielleicht?
Der geringe Kontrast hingegen stört mich gar nicht.

Hello Andreas. I like the photo, but in my opinion a crop is better for this photo with a nearest focus on the elephant and a vertical composition with the right tree.

Superb picture in which I'm impressed by the proportion of the trees compared to the elephant. The colors in background are interesting too.
