[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Looking back from Uhuru Peak toward Kersten Glacier, I saw this stunning view formed via the deep colors of a rising sun reflecting in the snow and glacial layers. Mt Meru set a robust backdrop adding depth and contrasting with the white snow.

HI Adrien,
Welcome on TE... an excellent first shot to open what will certainly be an interesting contribution.
You were lucky to have that stray of light on the glacier and you managed to capture it... in what I believe were difficult conditions.
Did you manage to get down the glacier before dark?

Great shot! I like the layers of colour in this, blue, white and violet. Great detail in the glacier too, with lots of texture visible there. Must have been an exciting trip up there! Good work, and welcome to TE!

very unusual sight of Africa, i'm used to see rather lions and gazelles than mountains and glacier. I like the smooth tones of your shot and the rays of rising sun in a shadow surrounding.

Very nice shot. The glacier flows nicely across the image, and the colors are amazing. I think a longer exposure could have worked even better. Excellent first post, welcome to TE!

Hello Adrien,

Good photo: the subject is interesting, the light was incredible because putting out of the shadows the icy ridge, the red color of the sky due to the sunrise and the Mt Meru giving some deepness to the scene.
A photo I would have like to have taken and now a place where I will have to go.

hi adrien,, only one thing to say about this shot it is "perfection" your pov showing us the crisp virgin snow ,the light hitting the top of the glacier, each layer of the glacier and the awsome sky.
This shot would win any competition as i say it is perfect
