Photographers Note
Dar es Salaam, located on the Indian Ocean coast, is the largest city of Tanzania. It has one of the largest natural harbours in the world.
The ferry shuttles across the buy between two parts of city... It is usually very crowded.
The city is full of life with an international airport and is a convenient point to visit the islands of Pemba, Zanzibar or Mafia. Some of Tanzania's best beaches are also to be found just south of Dar es Salaam.

Czesc Andrzej,
To sobie pojezdziles stary, pozazdroscic takich wypraw. Pamietam juz twoje fotki promow, zawsze jest to ciekawy element przeprawy w tej czesci swiata. Tutaj jest ladnie niebiesko, w roznych tonach tego koloru i sama scena tez O.K. Fajnie widziec taki inny swiat.
pozdrawiam,

Hello Andrzej:
What's a lovely picture you have from Tanzania. Great color and superly clear. I also love the fuzzy background. It is better than the ferry in Cambodia. I have one picture of ferry in Cambodian here on TE that you can see. It looks so flimsy. And people sit on the door way of the ferry...it is so dangerous. Regards
Sothy

Hi Andrzej,
We too have these types of ferries in Australia which cross some of our rivers. I believe they must be a cheaper way to go then to build bridges. The government here replaced a ferry with a bridge across to one of our islands in South Australia. The building of the bridge upset our Indigenous people who have a spiritual connection to the island. Many protests by both white and the Indigenous people did not stop the bridge, unfortunately it went ahead. I thought you may be interested in this piece of information with your background.
As for the photo, it is lovely with one part of Tanzania in the background. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Debbie

Hi Andrzej
Very interesting note and an informative picture too. I can see the port is quite extensive and busy. The deep rich colour of the ferry stands in deep contrast to the subdued background. Nice effect of the reflections and good exposure. Well done.

Andrzej
