Photographer’s Note
Meeting along the shore of Natron lake.
Lake Natron is a salt lake located in northern Tanzania, close to the Kenyan border, in Africa's Great Rift Valley. The lake is quite shallow, less than three meters (10 feet) deep, and varies in width depending on its water level.
The color of the lake is characteristic of those where very high evaporation rates occur. As water evaporates during the dry season, salinity levels increase to the point that salt-loving microorganisms begin to thrive.

Hello Luca,
A fine photo showing the seemingly endless salt plane. Details of the crust well rendered and the lady provides an astonishing contrast and gives scale.

I wish you'd got a bit closer so she wasn't so small in the frame, but the contrast between the bright colours of her clothing and the bleakness of the surrounding landscape is very striking and gives the image a strong impact.
Interesting shot Luca.

Hello Luca,
Very good portrait in wide angle. It allowed to evidence all the environment of the dry lake which is providing a color contrast with the suits of the massai.
A very interesting and original travel portrait.

Hi Luca,
That salt lake crust remins of biscuits or thin bread. Special environment is excellent backgrout to your colourful portrait. Fascinating in its simplicity.

Hi Luca, i am trying to plan my next wonter travel, back to Burma a country that i enjoy to be in so much or new pastures for me Tamzania. My son has just returned with fascinating stories. Choices - what a luxury to have when many are so much less fortunate.
The contrast here between the bright colours of her clothing and the stark landscape provides a strong image.

Ciao Luca,
Bellissima. I loved the way you positioned her with regards to the rest of the scenery. It gives a sense of scale. The juxtaposition of the bright colours of her dress, the darkness of her skin and the brightness of the salt plains. Great image. TFS.
Best,
Petek
